Stroll along Monroe and Joaquin Miller Streets, savoring the history and architecture of this lovely residential area south of the Newlands Neighborhood. You will see the Sewell House, the Hart House, the Patrick Ranch House, Greystone Castle, the Jack Dempsey House, and other interesting properties. Meet at the corner of Monroe and Manor Drives. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in and sign our liability waiver. (A copy of the waiver can be found here.) Wear comfortable shoes, and bring a hat, sunglasses, and water bottle in warm weather. No dogs, walkers, baby strollers, or bicycles allowed.
Walks generally last 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Please note, some neighborhoods may have uneven walking surfaces and sidewalk barriers, which may make it difficult for people with mobility issues. Also note, restrooms are not available on most walks.
